Alex and Jane’s engagement session was designed to highlight the variety Fort Worth offers for couples who want a mix of city architecture and natural landscapes. This engagement session moved through multiple Fort Worth locations as the light shifted throughout golden hour. Planning sessions around natural light and location flow allows for a cohesive gallery that feels intentional while still relaxed and candid.

Rooftop Golden Hour at Bass Performance Hall

We started the session at the top of the Bass Hall parking garage just as golden hour began. Rooftop locations in downtown Fort Worth offer clean lines, open skies, and beautiful directional light. I photographed this portion using prime lenses—a 35mm and 50mm—to capture mostly candid moments with a few lightly guided poses.

After wrapping up at the garage, we walked over to Commerce Street to capture a few downtown moments. This portion of the session leaned into movement and natural interaction, allowing the city energy of Fort Worth to shape the images.

As the sun began to set, we made our way to Tandy Hills for the final portion of the session. With the light fading quickly, I switched to an 85mm lens and focused on more intentionally directed portraits, creating a soft, editorial feel against the natural landscape.
